First Linda Sosa Foundation Camp: Celebrating Educational Success with Adventure and Purpose

On June 9-11, 2025, the Linda Sosa Foundation enthusiastically held its first family camp at Snow Mountain Ranch, an event that not only represented a momentous occasion for our organization, but also a meaningful celebration for the children and young people who were part of our pilot academic tutoring program at Valverde Elementary School.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Snow Mountain Ranch for the excellent welcome they gave us; all the staff treated us with great kindness and provided first-class customer service. Thank you very much for all your support, and the Linda Sosa Foundation recommends you 100%.

This camp was conceived as an incentive and recognition for the students who participated in the program, which was successfully developed at Valverde Elementary School. The results were encouraging: the young people not only completed the process, but also showed a notable improvement in their academic performance, demonstrating the positive impact that personalized tutoring can have on their school development.

However, at the Linda Sosa Foundation, we firmly believe that the comprehensive education of children and young people goes beyond the classroom. Recreation, contact with nature, and shared experiences also play a fundamental role in the development of character, self-esteem, and interpersonal skills. That is why we designed this camp as a space to foster personal growth in a safe, joyful, and enriching environment.

The young people, accompanied by their parents, enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities, including nature walks, group dynamics, swimming, tennis, campfires, and moments of reflection. Nature became a living classroom where each experience contributed to the emotional and social development of the participants.

We also had the honor of welcoming Pastor Juan Rosas, representing Hispanic Access, who led interactive activities for the children and gave an educational talk on the importance of the Colorado River. This presentation not only sparked the children’s curiosity about the environment, but also reinforced the message of responsibility and care for our natural resources.

This first camp was a real success, not only because of the enthusiastic participation of the families, but also because of the spirit of community, learning, and hope that was felt each day.

At the Linda Sosa Foundation, we reaffirm our commitment to the comprehensive development of children and youth. This event is just the beginning. We will continue working so that more children have access to educational and training opportunities that transform their lives.
